For millennia, traveling through time has enthralled the human psyche, permitting people to speculate about the opportunities of traveling through the dimensions of space and time. Surprisingly the interest with rewinding time is not confined to fantasy fiction; several faiths throughout the globe have explored the subject of time modification and historical excursions. In this piece, we will look at how multiple faiths comprehend and tackle the premise of eternity travel.

Does it ever drives you crazy that there are over estimated 10,000 different religions onthis planet known as Earth. Among which about estimated 84 percent of the world population seems to be followers of Islam, Christianity, Buddhism or any other form of folk religion. In Hindu mythology , the Mahabharta mentions the story of King Rivati Kakudmi who travels to heaven to meet the creator Brahma and is shocked to see how many ages have passed when he returns to earth. While According to Islam, there is some reference of time travel. The Quran tells about several individuals who go to sleep in a cave only to wakeup after 309 years. "One day of God(Allah) is one thousand years of what (human beings) counts". A similar idea is described in the Christain New Testament book of II Peter, where Peter states that "With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day". Hence this all states that time travelling isn't a folk story to attract people to towards a specific religion. Infact it is proved scientifically as well. Lets have a look to the ancient stories regarding time travelling concept.

In Hinduism religion it is believed that Kakudmi was the the first one ever to travel to heaven to meet the Bhrama the creator of the world. Kakudmi was not only pure of heart but was also a kind hearted ruler. He had a one  daughter Revati, Her beauty made her look ethereal she was endowed with all auspicious qualities but still considered as human. Kakudmi seemed to have been bestowed with mystic powers, that an ordinary human lacks today. Kakudmi was able to take his daughter Revati with him and travel to Bhrama-lok( the plane of existence where Bhrama, the creator resides) to speak with Bhrama at will. You all will be curious that why Kakudmi went to meet Bhrama? So here is the answer Kakudmi's daughter Revati was so beautiful and accomplished that when he reached a marriageable age Kakudmi thought no one upon earth was worthy of her so he went to Bhrama himself to seek his advice about a suitable husband for her daughter.

When they reached reached Bhrama was listening to a musical performance by Gandharvas so they waited patiently until the performance was finished. Then Kakudmi bowed humbly  made his request and showed the finalized lists of boys that were capable according to him to marry to her daughter. Bhrama laughed loudly and explained that time runs differently on different planes of existence and that during the short time they had waited in Bhrama-lok to see him 27 chatur-yugas (a cycle of four yugas totaling 108 yugas) had passed on earth. Bhrama said to Kakudmi then Kakudmi said
"O King, all those whom you may have decided within the core of your heart to accept as your son-in-law have died in course of time. Twenty-seven chatur-yugas have already passed. Those upon whom you may have already decided are now gone and so are their sons grandsons and other descendants. You cannot even hear about their names. You must therefore bestow this virgin gem(i.e. Revati) upon some other husband for you are now alone and your friends your ministers, servants, wives, kinsmen, armies and treasures, have long since been swept away by the hand of time."
King Kakudmi was overcome with astonishment and alarm at hearing this news. Bhrama comforted him and added that Vishnu the preserver was currently incarnate on earth in the form of Krishna and Balarama and he recommended Balarama as a worthy husband for Revati. Kakudmi and Revati then returned to earth which they regarded as having left only just a short while ago. They were shocked by the changes that had taken place.
Not only had the landscape and environment changed but over the intervening 27 chatur-yugas in the cycles of human spiritual and cultural evolution mankind was at a lower level of development than in their own time.
The Bhagavata Purana describes that they found the race of men had become "dwindled in stature, reduced in vigour, and enfeebled in intellect"
The daughter and father found Balarama and proposed the marriage which was accepted. The marriage was then duly celebrated. The story is believed to be the possible indication of ancient Hindu Knowledge of the phenomena of the time dilation.
Similarly, another story of time travel is drawn from Buddhism religion for your interest lets see what ancient Buddhist say about it.

In Buddhism Religion Urashima Taro holds a special place because, he is first one to meet the God. Urashima Taro is a Japanese legend about a fisherman who rescues a turtle and is rewarded for this with the visit of palace of Ryujin the Dragon God who is under the sea. He stays there for three days and, upon return to his village he finds himself 300years in the future. One day a young fisherman named Urashima Taro is fishing when he notices a group of children torturing a small turtle. Taro saves it and safely sends him back in the sea. The next day a huge turtle approaches him and tells him that the small turtle he saved yesterday is the daughter of the Emperor of the Sea, Ryujin God of Dragons who want to see him to thank him. The turtle magically gives Taro gills and brings him to the bottom of the sea to the place of Dragon God. There he meets the Emperor and the small turtle, who was now a lovely princess Otohime. Taro stays there with her for 3 days but soon he wants to go back to his village to see his aging mother so he requests Otohime's permission to leave. The princess says she is sorry to see him go but wishes him well and gives him a mysterious box called Tamatebako which will protect him from harm but she asks him to never open the box. Taro grabs the box and jumps on the back of the same turtle that had brought him there, and soon is at the seashore. When he reaches home everything has changed. His home is gone , his mother has vanished and all the people he knew are nowhere to be seen. He asks if anybody knows a man called Urashima Taro. They answer that they had heard someone of that name had vanished at sea long ago. He discover that 300 years have passed since the day he left for the bottom of the sea. Struck by grief, he absent-minded opens the box the Princess had given him from which bursts forth a cloud of white smoke. He is suddenly aged his beard long and white and his back bent. From the sea comes the sad sweet voice of the princess "I told you not to open that box. In it was your old age."Where all religions seemed to have there own ancient stories.

Muslims Islamic history also consist of a incident that describes time travelling this incident is described as "Event of Miraj" in there Holy Book known as "Quran" and is scientifically proved by scientists as well.

According to Muslim Religion the last messenger of God travels to seven skies to meet God(Allah) so let's preview the history of this event. On the midnight of Monday 27th Rajab( Name of Islamic Month) Holy Prophet was resting. The famous Angel Jibrail (A.S) came to the Holy Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) and brought him Burak it means electric and its speed is equal or more than the speed of light.
The Angel woke the Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) and told him the message of Allah and split the blessed chest of Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) and angel washed his blessed heart by Aab-e-Zamzam. The Angel filled the blessed body of Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) with wisdom and splendor and then he bathed with Hoz-e-kosar.
Moving towards the Burak according to the Muslims Burak can travel a very huge distance within an instant. Angel Jibrail(A.S) handle the bridle of Burak. Angel Israfil(A.S) and other angels followed them. In Galaxy Of Angels the Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) started the journey with highly dignity riding reached to the Bait-ul-Muqaddas in a very short time. In Bait-ul-Muqaddas all Holy Prophet and Angels offered  prayer within the leadership of Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) and after offering the prayer the Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) started the journey towards the sky with the same speed.
Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) reached to the first sky where he meet the  father of all humans Hazrat Adam (A.S ) welcomed him. On the second sky Hazrat Ibrahim (A.S) and Hazrat Esa (A.S) welcomed Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H). On the 3rd, 4th, 5th ,6th and 7th sky the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) meet all the Holy Prophets named as Hazrat Yusuf (A.S) ,Hazrat idrees (A.S) ,Hazrat Haroon (.S) , Hazrat Musa (A.S) and Hazrat Ibrahim (A.S) respectively.
After the seventh sky the holy prophet and the angel  reach to the place called Sidrath-ul-Muntaha Where Jibrail (A.S) had no permission to move further.
After that place the holy prophet(peace be upon him) kept continue the journey without Burak and Jibrail (A.S). What happened next to that place nobody knows even the Holy Quran only mentions about the gift of the five Namaz that were given to Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) by God (Allah). But when he returned to earth Time was same not a single minute have been passed or may be small amount of time was passed.

So this is how different religions explains time travel in different ways The researches done have been drawn from authentic resources.
